This is a beautiful heavy glass paperweight with multi-colored wild flowers in pink, brown, and yellow. Each straw flower has a special bubble in it. It was hand-crafted in Campbell California by Daisyglas Co. This was purchased at an estate sale, so we do not know how old it is. It is in mint condition. No chips, scratches, or bubbles (other than where they belong). It is large, heavy and beautiful. Would make a gorgeous focal point for any desk in your office or study. Size: approximately 3" across, and almost 3" high.

Hello bkmur. I am greatly humbled by your very nice comments about me as an employer. I strove to make Daisyglas Inc a fun place to work. So many employees were young and having a first or near first employment that I just couldn't see making it a stade and harsh work experience. I have been trying to guess who you are but your name does not reveal it. Let me hear from you Billlarkin@aol.com
One of my better college jobs was to help create these objects in the early 1970's at a small industrial park in Campbell, California. The owner's name was Bill Larkin. He was a smart, dynamic & very young family man who was also an excellent boss. He drove a flashy new gold-colored Cleveland 351 Mustang...a primo ride, even by the car obsessed standards of the south San Francisco Bay Area of the time. My main task was to hand polish Daisyglas objects on a buffing wheel to a high sheen. The small dried flowers were imported from Brazil. Each bouquet was arranged by the hands and eyes of 2 or 3 ladies who lived in the Campbell area. They chose their colors based on what came in from Brazil that day and some broad suggestions by Bill. These items were produced in spherical, half sherical and cylindrical formats of varying sizes. They retailed throughout the nation for about the prices I am seeing online today. One of the larger outlets was Disney World. Daisyglas was a fun place to work. Each item is truly unique. They are hefty for their volume, suggesting quality.
These pieces are timeless and my mother still has some that Bill let me take home.
