4 undersea crochet patterns in pdf format, all designed for a G hook and worsted weight yarn, written out in plain English, and emailed to you within 24 hours of your payment! Separately, the patterns would cost $14 - but by purchasing together, you can save $3. As always, I will be happy to answer all your questions you might have while making the patterns over email or Etsy conversation. See descriptions for the separate items below. --------------- BLOOMING CORAL This pattern will allow you to make your formations of budding and blooming coral. There can be endless variations of height and number of buds as well as the size of the formation. Using a G hook and worsted weight yarn, this is a great project to take with you when you're out and about. It's a modular project, and each one of the buds can be made in minutes, so it's great to take out when you want something to work on while waiting for the bus, talking on the phone, etc. Even if you have just a little bit of time, you can still get that sense of completion (which I'm a total sucker for). You will need to know how to (or be willing to google!) chain, single crochet, double crochet, and slip stitch. The time required depends on the size of the coral formation you want to make, but the ones shown above can be comfortably made in an evening. The pattern is five pages long and has 12 color photographs, including some of the process of making the coral. --------- RED CORAL Make your own foot-long coral branch out of worsted weight yarn and a G-hook! A witty and cuddly display piece. This pattern provides a stitch-by-stitch guide to making a coral branch nearly identical to the one shown here. But more importantly, I try to describe the purpose of each one of those stitches so that you can become comfortable freeforming coral of your own design. The pattern is 4 pages long, and comes in pdf form with a labeled picture of the coral to make following the stitches easy. It's written out in (almost!) complete sentences so that it's easier to follow, with no deciphering of code. All you need to know to make this pattern is single crochet, increase, decrease, and chain. It's long, but very simple, and you can make this project in an evening if you are comfortable with crochet. ---------------------------- OCTOPUS with VOLUPTUOUS LEGS Make your own voluptuous No. 4: an octopus with powerful, undulating legs! Using worsted weight yarn and a G hook, the finished product will be about 3" tall, with legs that can engulf prey up to 9" in diameter. For sale is an original two page pdf pattern, which I will email you directly at the address of your choosing (make sure to leave it in a comment for me!) The pattern assumes you know (or are willing to google) some basic crochet stitches - single, double, slip, increase, decrease, etc. It does NOT, however, assume you like to decipher tricky code, so it's written out in long form, and I explain why certain stitches are called for at different times. If you've got basic crochet skills, this project can be made in a leisurely evening. ------------- SQUID in LOVE Make your own Squid in Love, a pair of foot-long cephalopods with dramatic tentacles! For sale is a 3 page pdf pattern with 7 pictures and instructions for both of the squids written out in plain English (no abbreviations). I will email this to you within 24 hours of purchase (usually much faster), unless there is a notice on the front page of my shop stating that I'm out of town. Using cotton worsted weight yarn and a G hook, and employing only a double loop start (I point you to a great online tutorial) and basic stitches like single crochet, increase, decrease, slip, and chain, this is the easiest pattern available at the Wunderkammer right now. If you are comfortable with crochet, you should be able to make one of these guys in one or two hours. This would also be a great project to learn to crochet with!
