Consumption of milk can contribute to acne. In a study of 6,500 adolescents, a link between milk consumption and acne was shown. Other problematic foods included milk-based instant breakfast drinks, sherbet, cottage cheese and cream cheese. Most milk comes from pregnant cows, which have high levels of hormones that can stimulate acne production.
