The manufacturer's landing page has a track-back reference to this item right here on Kaboodle! It's listed right there at the top right next to Gizmodo & Ubergizmo! Posted by hrothgars at 6:49 PM on 4/16/08 Report Spam

I like this secured flash drive solution far better than the Ironkey Flash Drive. With this PIN-pad version, the contents of your drive won't get erased just because some snooping yahoo tries to gain access to it.Posted by hrothgars at 1:20 PM on 3/24/08

Thanks. I had a Lexar and it really annoyed me that it died and I couldn't recover my stuff. And their support was worthless. They told me I could send it to them and they "might" be able to recover it. Sure, I'm going to send a drive with personal data on it to some complete stranger, huh? :( Anyway, I don't like things connecting to the web whenever they feel like it either. Thanks for that. :( Hmmm, sigh. That lock thing looks interesting, too bad I don't read Japanese. :) Posted by lamerchick at 10:43 AM on 2/3/09 Report Spam

The good news: this thing looks cool and is an impenetrable fortress. The bad news: it is only available in a 1GB size and the mandatory OS which loads from the drive is a little too James Bond for its own good. It also tries to establish a web connection every time you plug it in. I wasn't too fond of this so I zapped it with my firewall software, but if you connected this elsewhere it may not ask you first. If I had the money back in my pocket, I would probably just buy one of these jobs. (480 yen is about $5.45 USD) Posted by hrothgars at 10:26 AM on 2/3/09 Report Spam

My last secure drive failed (with lots of stuff on it) :( Looking for a new one. Do you recommend this one? I need for things like banking and such. Posted by lamerchick at 7:51 AM on 2/3/09 Report Spam

I have witnessed folks at my job pilfer each other's thumb drives without asking. I grew tired of this and decided to lock the suckas out for good with this here doohickey, and now I can go about updating my resume in relative peace. Posted by hrothgars at 9:32 PM on 1/15/09 Report Spam
