I bought one of these Pfaff 580 steam press machines and what they don't tell you is that you have to buy a water filter cartridge for £17 every few weeks. I am in a medium water area, according to my water supplier, and mine runs out in a fortnight. That's £8.50 per week. The steam stops working when the water filter cartridge runs out and you can't use distilled water instead, because there is a sensor on the cartridge that allows the steam to work. I would Not buy this machine again, especially at such a price when the scam of having to buy the filter is so blatent. You used to be able to buy a cartridge that you could fill with crystals, but now it is a sealed unit and Very Expensive. Do Not Buy!
