January 24th, 2009 by ketyung Phantom chess is a computer-powered chess set which has the ability to move the pieces automatically. This chess set gets it name related to phantom is simply because of it moves all the pieces by itself after a button has been tapped. When someone looks at it from afar, it’ll be mistaken as the pieces are moved by some spooky creatures. The set has an electro-magnetic system under the chess board, which is able to move the pieces with great precision. Those taken pieces will also be moved to the edge of the board. Some more, you can set it to accompany you with sounds to make every move more exciting. The Phantom set is powered by an 8-bit processor, which does all the spooky things. It provides 136 game levels to choose from. You just need a slight press on the start and the target squares and the computer will do the move for you. The Phantom chess is also equipped with an LCD display which is useful for you to watch the next action that the computer takes. The set is great for those who wanna practise their chess playing skillset, or to constantly challenge yourself for improvement.
