I was too young to fully appreciate Mean Joe Greene and the Steel Curtain of old, but it was Mean Joe Greene's Coke commercial that drove me to watch more football. You remember that commercial, a little kid hands Mean Joe Greene a bottle of Coke in the tunnel and Joe Greene tossed his jersey to the kid as a souvenir. "Wow," is all the kid could say. Of course, Joe Greene was a pretty good player as well. He was the anchor for the Pittsburgh Steelers ‘Steel Curtain’ defense during their four Super Bowl titles in the 1970’s.See less »
