Show students a shooting star! This is a sample of 3 real meteorite fragments from around the world. They began as shooting stars, and now they can be a part of your mineral collection. Includes samples from Morocco, Argentina, and Arizona. Samples average 1-2 cm in size and are displayed with their location of origin. Includes aditional information on the specific meteorites as well. The composition of these meteorites makes them magnetic. In our tests, each meteorite demonstrated a slighly different level of magnetic attraction. Bring a strong magnet near the samples to demonstrate how magnetic each meteorite is.
