Ann Arbor has a huge recycling program and we do not have to sort the recyclables except to sort paper products from cans and glass. The city provides recycling bins. These bins are the only ones we are permitted to use as they are picked up and emptied into the sanitation truck by a mechanical arm and must conform to city code. I commend you for bringing these to our attention but perhaps you should also focus on alternative uses (toy storage/returnable bottle storage etc.) JMHO Catherine
