Have you ever thought about wearing a red wedding gown on your wedding day? Once upon a time that would have been unthinkable, but times are changing. Red wedding gowns became popular on the runways about 10 years ago, and they are still hot for that bride who wants to make a truly unique statement on her wedding day. Many wedding dresses in China, India, Africa and Vietnam are traditionally red. In fact there are many weddings today in the western world where the bride will change into 2 or 3 or more gowns throughout the day. In modern Chinese weddings, the bride usually wears the white Western dress and then changes from a white gown to a red gown or a gold gown for the reception. South Indian weddings, the bride traditionally uses white saris. Indian brides in Western countries often wear the sari at the wedding ceremony and change into traditional Indian wear afterwards. In Japan, brides will often wear three or more dresses throughout the ceremony, and then with additional celebrations they choose the traditional kimono, white and colour dresses are often choosen. Not only is it hot, but you will never be forgotten!
