It’s a proven fact that an uncluttered workspace reduces stress. Aside from the visual train wreck that a cluttered desk makes, it’s simply harder to find things if they’re just scattered haphazardly on your desk top. Your computer’s registry behaves very much like your desktop this way. Over time, if you don’t throw away what’s not useful anymore, or if you don’t organize what you need to keep, your desk can look like a war zone. If you don’t keep up with it, it will keep building up until you simply can’t work anymore. You have to take time out to keep up with it all. Your computer’s registry is the same way. It is the central place where schedules are kept, automatic processes are run, initiation files sit, and all other things that keep your computer running. Over time, this too can get cluttered. When you install new programs on your computer, they set up files in the registry. The registry is where all programs go to get their processing information. If they can’t find their appropriate files, they don’t work. Sometimes this is a matter of their files simply being missing. Sometimes, they’re just too hard to find in the clutter. Most computer registries suffer from this clutter. Junk files are often built up on your registry because most often, when a program is uninstalled, it leaves its registry values behind. This is partly due to some registry values being shared by different programs, some are left by some trial programs to prevent repeated installation, and sometimes it’s just laziness from the software’s programmers. Some programmers get a little too gung-ho in taking the registry keys with them. When a program gets uninstalled, it may accidentally delete a shared key. This mostly happens as a result of user error, since the deletion of such keys has to be approved by the user. After some time, your registry becomes just like that cluttered desk. Useless files bury useful ones. Some useful ones may have slipped off the desk into the trash can. You may have accidentally thrown away an important file. Some important documents may have gotten coffee stains. In the end, your productivity decreases until you get it all straightened up. Cleaning up your registry is obviously just as recommended as cleaning up your desk. The problem with it has classically been that for how long it will take you to clean your desk, it can take exponentially longer to clean up your registry. You also run the same risk of accidentally throwing away some needed files. While it’s relatively easy to adjust to a missing report, a missing registry key can be outright disaster to your computer. You could turn it over to a professional, but with the sheer complexity of cleaning a registry, most professionals won’t do it. Few can do it in less than a week. Luckily, there is a program that can do all this work in about a minute. Blue Penguin’s RegZooka was made to deal with this problem. No one can guarantee a complete fix on the first run, but RegZooka can guarantee a fix within 24 hours. In fact, if your registry isn’t squeaky clean in 24 hours, you get a 100% refund. Even more, if you’re not satisfied 6 months later, you can also get a 100% refund. Try RegZooka, and your computer will be like new.
