Although slightly larger and heavier than many of it's competitors, the 1005 boasts features (i.e. screen size, keyboard, battery life) that allows you to actually use it for serious tasks instead of just emailing and messing around on youtube. After two weeks of use, I've found the 1005 to be a pleasure to use and a great value netbook for the money. If you're looking for a portable mini-laptop that's not just a toy you should check this out.
