There are a slew of new apps coming out for the iphone for home automation and Apple is investing in this. iControl is the first company to recieve funding to develop it further. Smarthome has Smartlink which integrates with iphone but it is a weird overpriced overly complex gadget store. What is needed is a simplified, Apple designed software and hardware collection (using perhaps Indigo as the software side) to bring home automation to the masses not just a bunch of techie freaks. Google "iphone home automation" for further options that will control temp, security, allow web access, etc.
