You are stuck living outside, you never hear a kind word or receive a kind touch and, when you go into heat, you have male cats and dogs arriving from miles around, jumping and climbing all over you, one after another after another. They won't leave you alone. When you have your litter, under a picnic table in the rain or in the dirt under the porch, your kittens/puppies drain your body of all food, liquids and energy because no matter how much you try, you can't get enough to eat and drink. You are so tired, hungry, and losing weight so your ribs start to show. If you and your offspring are lucky enough to make it through, your kittens/puppies may be ignored, given away, sold into cruel situations or to animal labs, or they may be tossed aside from a pick-up truck on some lonely stretch of road. Last year, PETA's "Spay and Neuter Immediately, Please" (SNIP) program spayed or neutered 8,298 animals at either low cost or no cost at all to the animals' guardians, who otherwise would not have been able to afford the procedures. PETA provides transportation, surgery, shots, and flea treatment and does proactive canvassing and leafleting in needy neighborhoods. But, we need the support of generous people like you to keep this vital program alive. Each sponsor will receive: • Honorable mention on our SNIPSponsor.com Web site • A sponsorship certificate in your name with your sponsor level and featuring an animal who was helped by PETA's spay and neuter relief program • A packet of information on spaying and neutering You can choose a level of sponsorship (from $68.00 to $1,500.00) "Guardian Angel" sponsor: Your $476.00 contribution as a "Guardian Angel" will help to provide surgeries, shots, flea treatment, and transportation for seven cats or nearly five dogs. SNIP Benefactor: Your $1,500 contribution as a SNIP Benefactor will pay for PETA's spay and neuter efforts for a single day, including up to 30 surgeries.
