I just bought a Snuggie for my girl friend. I want to warn everyone, the website is confusing. After you place your order there is what seems to be a conformation page asking if you wanted to buy the Snuggie. This page is actually asking you if you want to buy another Snuggie. I clicked yes. Actually there is no conformation page. It also automatically ordered the “Free” gift for me. My order ended up being $67, $32 of it was shipping cost. Needless to say I am angry. Im hoping I can straighten this all out with their customer service. But today is Sunday so Im going to have to wait until tomorrow.
OMG I just today FINALLY got my 2 Snuggies. Well for one, I ordered the Snoggies because I could NOT afford a Slanket at $45 a pop, so I thought "Oh look, I can get the same thing for half the price! And oh look, they will send me TWO for the price of one! And oh look, only $5 more and they can be ultra-plush, super-soft, orgasm-to-the-touch material Shluggies!" Well in the first place, I am absolutely certain I chose the dark(ish) blue color for my Shnuckies, because I didnt want the burgundy and, although I prefer green in just about everything, the "sage green" color sample blob on the website just seemed a little too light-colored for my dark-toned household and husband for whom I was buying the Schluckies...the same husband who professed a desire for a Slanket long ago. Well the color of what came in the mail today can best be described as light sea-foam green. Or a lighter version of hospital scrub green. Or baby blue with a touch of green thrown in. Is this what the Shnorckie Company calls "sage green"? And why does this color look NOTHING like the "sage green" color blob on the website? And MOST importantly, why did I not get the royal dark-ish blue color I ordered? I guess its possible I ordered "sage green" by mistake. But if so, why does it look in person like light baby sea foam scrub green blue? Well first of all, on to the product itself. Its a rectangular fleece blanket with 2 sleeves sewn in. That's really it. The pics and videos make it look like a robe you can wear while doing anything...walking around, sitting up, laying down, etc. I wanted to get a product like this for my husband to keep him warm while working on his laptop....but one of the first things he said to me after he tried it on was "It totally fell off while sitting at my laptop." Then I put it on myself and walked a few steps....in a second or two it was on the carpet around my feet. It DOES NOT fasten in any way behind your back, and therefore it does NOT act like a robe in any way. It acts like a fleece rectangle with 2 sleeves sewn on. I was expecting something like a robe....like the pictures and video show. But no, its a fleece rectangle with some sleeves. OH, and some pockets. It doesn't stay on your shoulders. It doesn't wrap around. It doesnt fasten. It just falls....like a rectangle with 2 sleeves would. That is, unless you are reclining on your sofa. And even then, it still falls off your shoulders...especially if you move your arms to answer the phone or play Sudoku or shake a fist at your cat....all of which are things the ads say the Snurgy is wonderful for. All I can see that the Shloggy is good for is laying on your couch while watching TV with the remote near your hand. But you better not move too much and you should tuck the edges under you, including the shoulder corners which, in the ads, look as though they are perfectly tucked behind your back... 'Cause if you put the remote too far away from your hand - oh well, there goes the Snuffly. OH and firstly, my total order (2 Spugglies and 2 'free' booklights I didnt need or want) cost about $45 -- roughly the cost of one Slanket. The shipping I paid was like $16...for 2 pieces of fleece and 2 3 oz. booklights?? My floor-length ultra plushy bathrobe from Wal-Mart does the job much better than this product.
I received mine after 4 weeks. My card was not charged untill they shipped my order. Website is tricky when ordering. You will be charged $7.95 p+h for each snuggie ordered even the free one(s) adding an extra $16 to your order. If you then select to get the thicker snuggie you will be charged $5 for each snuggie that makes $10 more. Also they try to get you to order 2 more snuggies doubling your order and your price. I paid $45.85 for two thicker snuggies. Not a bad deal but not as good as the commercial makes you believe. I do like my snuggie, is warm for sitting and typing at the computer. Also whenever I curl up under a blanket my 1yr old daughter usually decides to sit in my lap and it is impossible to hold her while my arms are trapped inside a blanket leaving me with cold arms. I could get a sweater but that requires getting up, putting her down, finding the sweater, and then trying to get comfortable again all while she is screaming. I think, though, that if I want any more I will make my own, maybe a smaller version for my 10 year old.
I wish I had read these comments before I ordered the product. Just about every thing has gone wrong.1. Did not arrive in time for Christmas. 2. On trace, the order listed was wrong, as I ordered 2 blankets but order listed 1 blanket with 2 shipping and handling charges. 3. Tried to contact -- web site doesn't go anywhere, customer service line goes to automated line, which gives another number for a "real" agent, but goes to automated line that says it will be a long wait - call back another day. I did leave on hold for 90 minutes (while I was doing other things). Gave up after the 90 minutes with nothing resolved except to agree with a lot of people that this company is a scam DON'T ORDER!
I just ordered from them to and discovered it was a scam afterwards as well. I was pissed off so I called customer service right after I ordered, on Saturday. They say they are not open on Sat. but I tried anyways. It went right through to a customer service rep. I said I wanted to cancel, so she said you have to wait till Monday cause your order has not gone through yet. So I will try again on Monday and hopefully I can cancel my order. The # I called was 1-800-566-2888.
This looks like a nice product so I ordered one over a week ago. I agree that the order process tries to trick you into ordering more than you want. I’m concerned because my credit card hasn’t bee charged yet and I wanted it before Christmas. So I checked the web and I saw your comments. I tried to call customer service several times today and there’s only a busy signal. I found another review site where there were also complaints about the ordering process and customer service. I haven’t seen any reviews of anyone who actually received an order though, so I’m starting to wonder if this is a scam. HAS ANYONE OUT THERE ACTUALLY RECEIVED AN ORDER FROM THESE PEOPLE?
UGH! I agree about the order page being confusing and not having a place to review the order before it's placed. I ordered what I *thought* was 2 Snuggies and only after the order was placed, saw that it was two sets, or FOUR Snuggiesl!! Now my credit card will be charged for $70+ and there's no way to intercept the order and change it because I can't get through by phone. "All lines are busy." beep beep beep... What a horrible hard lesson learned. :o(
I concur this happened to me over two months ago and I called because I hadn't received my order and it had been two weeks and I talked to the customer service and they said my order, even though I received an order number and confirmation via email, did not exist. I told her that she was rude and I don't care what she had to do just make sure to cancel my order and that my credit card does not get charged. And now two months later, I have a charge on my bill... and guess who from... SNUGGIE... can you say BS, fraudulent, and just horrid service, and of course sketchy!
Do not buy from www.getsnuggie.com. They have rude customer service and their web site is misleading, almost fraudulent. They do not state that the buy one, get one free is for the same color. It states that you can select another color, but then they charge you for two pairs. They give no order review or confirmation, they just place the order before you can check it. There is no place to check, confirm, or cancel your order. You have to call customer service and all they say is "call back tomorrow because your order is not in our system." I think they are a total rip off. Buyer beware.
