Comparison review between Solia and Sedu Reviewer: Amy from Minnesota 2007-10-16 I became a Solia flat iron user some time ago after my Sedu flat iron gave out and making the switch was hard because I didn’t see any direct comparisons between the two, like I had for CHI and others. Since I experienced some major differences, here’s my list of pros & cons between the two- Sedu Pros: ULTRA, ultra smooth, straight hair. Hair holds up well in humidity. Cons: Slight burnt smell (yuck). Had to be cleaned daily with flat iron cleaner. Cord always seemed to get tangled. Solia Pros: Cost! It’s cheaper than Sedu. Better heat settings range. Less cleaning maintenance. You can curl your hair!!! (although it’s a bit difficult) Cons: Straight, but not silky smooth hair. Hair doesn’t hold up as well in humidity. Differences aside, neither snagged my hair (something I’ve heard people complain about with some flat irons) and I didn’t think either was that heavy. Solia say’s it delivers even heat distribution, so maybe that’s the reason it doesn’t seem to ‘burn’ your hair. Overall, I would say I am much happier with the Solia, although depending on the weather it’s hard to choose. I received more compliments about my hair with the Sedu, but my hair smells better with Solia and I definitely like the difference in price. If you are stuck wanting to get a flat iron and can’t decide which one to get, try both of these and return the other. Folica has an awesome 30-day return policy and I think these are the top two flat irons in the market (despite their cons). Hope this helps! Solia works!! Reviewer: Anonymous from Denver, Colorado 2007-10-12 Have very thick wiry wavy hair. Tried all of the irons (Chi, T3 and many others). At last, an iron that gets hot enough to straighten and style, allows me to work quickly and does not snag my hair. Joy!! I love Solia! Reviewer: Pam from North Carolina 2007-10-10 This Solia is a great flat iron-and a great price! I was using a Sedu-which I also loved-but the cord shorted out after only a year! I hope that this one lasts much longer! Since I needed a new flat iron, I decided to look around on this website for another brand. Also, the length of my hair has gotten shorter, and this size flat iron is much easier to work with than the 2" Sedu I previously used. I cannot vouch for long hair, but this is great for short hair! It makes my hair silky and shiny too! If you're looking for an awesome flat iron at a great price, this is the one! Sorry I don't have a
