Not a total bummer. You sometimes end up with extra ice that won't fit, so you have yummy things like lavender lemonade icees! Delish!
That's true LB, I last sight of that. Although in the heat of Summer it would need to be down in the ice, not sitting on top of it. :)
I agree with with you LC separate ice is a must and back to the original product, it sits in a giant thing of ice, none in the dispenser.
I always make ice cubes out of whatever the drink is so it doesn't get watered down as they melt. The only downside is you have to make at least 1 full batch extra to do that. :s
K, oh yes, at least one for the bar and one for the kitchen. Maybe one in the bathroom, too. ;)GG, I know. I like the fact that the ice is separate. No watered down drinks. :)
@lavabunny: HAHAHA! Yeah...That's always a fun sight. I've decided my mom needs the thing LC posted. Mostly because she puts a TON of ice in everything.
Holy cow, LC, that thing is awesome. The best part though:"Get one for your bar and one for your kitchen!" Wowsa. 256oz of delicious cold refreshment.
Ever see a sober person try to use a butter dispenser at the movies, imagine a drunk person trying to use one of those tap, I fear for my counter, floor, safety.
"From beer to margaritas and sodas to lemonade, fill the inside tube with ice and the outer tube with 128-ozs. of your favorite beverage. * Drinks stay cold without getting watered down. * Tap at bottom makes dispensing easy. * Get one for your bar and one for your kitchen! * Measures 26-1/2" x 7-1/8" dia."
You could always get one like this. Then your drunkies would only have to push down on the nozzle thing. Really no coordination required!
Yeah, I think the best middle ground between a pump and a pitcher would be one of those drink dispensers... maybe a sun tea brewer!! lolGlad to entertain, GG.. ;-)
Lol! Strong feelings and a lot of thought! Okay, I will reconsider this one. But to be honest I have a bigger problem with people forgetting or not being handy with turning on and off taps. Maybe pitchers are the only answer.
No, I don't like it because it's a pump, and pumps have very small outlets, so the stream is very thin, and pumps like this will shoot at ridiculously high velocities if you put enough umph behind it. Haven't you ever whacked the top of a soap dispenser and the soap goes everywhere? If you're making margaritas for a party, people are obviously drinking, and people might get overzealous with the pump. The outlet looks pretty thin, meaning not much liquid would be able to come out, and the pressure behind it would be much stronger. It doesn't have to do with angles, it has to do with a giant pump and liquids, lol.
@kabroskie very nice, more expensive, though. I think you don't like this because on the picture it's on an angle.
I think the whole point of this thing is to save people from pouring when they are inebriated-- also to make a tremendous pitcher of margarita/sangria whatever so that you don't have to keep making them.
I actually thought the same thing as Kabroskie when I first saw it. I could easily do it and not be intoxicated at all...
