Bluebells, with their delicate weeping bells, are from the hyacinth family. In Australian floristry we tend to work with the Spanish bluebell (Hyacinthoides Hispanica), due to its easy growing nature. The Spanish Bluebell Earrings feature an alluring combination of gems to capture the bluebell's delicate, ethereal beauty. A hand forged sterling silver bell shape has been wrapped with fine silver wire, with round silver beads meandering around its curves and a natural chalcedony heart briolette is wire-wrapped to the centre curls. A plethora of rondelles hang above, in gentle, luminous hues of periwinkle blue, mauve and grey - natural chalcedony, iolite, tanzanite and labradorite, and the earrings hang from sterling French ear hooks. Below the bell form lies another lush cluster of the same rondelles, as well as tanzanite and iolite briolettes, and the focal gem of the earrings - magnificent AAA+ natural chalcedony briolettes measuring approx. 14mm in length. These enchanting earrings have been enhanced by oxidising to create a gentle patina. The Spanish Bluebell earrings hang 3" from the ear wire to the end of the chalcedony pear, and all metals used are sterling silver, with the exception of the hand-made ball head pins which are fine (999) silver.
