See more » ** UNIQUE DESIGNS IN STEAMPUNK INDUSTRIAL JEWELRY ** I just sold this EXACT MODEL of Vintage WELSH goggles and I'm fortunate enough to have one more pair to make available. Luckily, this pair is also in LIKE NEW condition and do not show signs of EVER having been worn. The are only two differences between the pair that sold and the pair being offered here. Firstly, the earpieces on the pair currently being offered are coated with a brown protective coating common for goggles of this era. I am REUSING THE ORIGINAL PICTURES to save time, but please know that they have COATED EARPIECES for superior comfort, not the bare metal shown in the pictures. Secondly, the first pair came with the original brass case, and the case had a scratch in it. This pair ALSO has the brass metal case, and it has a tiny dent in the lid but no scratches. The goggles themselves are unaffected and are in MINT, LIKE-NEW CONDITION. Please read the full description as follows... This is a very RARE and amazing pair of gorgeous Steampunk goggles created from a ressurected pair of WELSH vintage driving goggles. The unique feature of these goggles is obviously the outrageous RED TINTED LENES. These are extremely hard to find, and no where will you find them in the incredible MINT CONDITION being offered here. The quality of these glasses is evident in the sturdy, durable frames. The bridge piece even has an etched scroll design that is unlike anything being manufactured today. Beautiful attention to detail. They have mesh side shields and I've added removable double magnifier loops for an over-the-top Steampunk look. The condition of these goggles is as rare as the unusual color. This pair of goggles is in pristine condition. The glass lenses are breath taking and flawless. The frames are equally perfect, with no pits or corrosion or any other problems. The frames for the mesh side shields are pristine, as though just manufactured and the mesh itself is unaffected by the 80 to 100 years that these goggles have seen. The earpieces are also in excellent condition, with the tight hinges found only on brand new frames. It is unlikely that these goggles were ever used and have remained in tact within the confines of their original metal case. The case itself has its own beauty. It is painted in a dull, olive drab remeniscent of WWI military equipment. Upon opening the case, you see bright metal surfaces, the metal appears to be brass from the color and has also been preserved like a time capsule. The cover of the case reads: WELSH MANUFACTURING CO., PROVIDENCE, R.I., U.S.A. There is a small dent in the case, but you're not going to wear the case on your face, so no problem. The goggles fit neatly in the case and will be easy to carry in a convenient pocket. The last photo shows the goggles in the case with the cover open so you can see the brass color. Very cool. As stated, the quality, rarity and condition of these goggles cannot be equalled. Don't miss this unique opportunity to have some of the most gorgeous goggles available anywhere.
