"Stomp Out Loud," the latest production from the creators of the international percussion sensation "Stomp," will entertain and amaze audiences in Vegas with their unique brand of music-making. This new production features a cast double the size of the original production and is an experience tailored to Vegas with new sequences and choreography. The show, in which the performers "make a rhythm out of anything we can get our hands on that makes a sound," according to Co-Creator/Director Luke Cresswell, is a journey through sound. The comic interplay of characters is created without words, only through dance and percussion. Some of the "instruments" the group uses to create sounds include cigarette lighters, brooms, pipes, trash cans, plungers, boots and hubcaps. "Stomp" began on the streets of Brighton, England. Cresswell and Steve McNicholas, the creators of "Stomp," were a group of street performers commonly known as "buskers," trying to grab people's attention. The performances did grab attention and "Stomp" soon found itself in theaters. It began its run at the Orpheum Theatre in New York in 1994, after a sell-out run at Sadler's Wells in London's West End. The production was nominated for "Best Entertainment" in the 1994 Olivier awards, going on to win the "Best Choreography" Olivier, an Obie and a Drama Desk Award for "Most Unique Theatre Experience."
