The Tam Marching Band was featured in the Woody Allen movie "Take the Money and Run." (Tam teachers Dan Caldwell and Don Michaelion played a prison guard and a prisoner.) http://www.tamhigh.org/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=14&Itemid=47 From: STEVEN CRAIN 1969 Mar 29 2002 11:51:00AM To: EELIA GOLDSMITH 1986 (11) Tam High Orchestra, Band and Choir/Mads (in reply to 1) I'm way before your time, but the band and choir were the best things in my high school years. In 1968 we actually appeared in a Woody Allen movie, "Take the Money and Run," as the "Spring Street Settlement House Marching Band," with Woody as a marching cellist. We did march, and we weren't too bad- better than my University band, in any case. Yes, the uniforms were..unusual..but they were also very comfortable. I have often wondered what happened to all of my band and choir friends. http://group.classmates.com/user/mboard/thread.tf?thread_id=6766901;type=hs;message_number=11#msg12
