If you’re going to buy the MacBook Air or even just thinking about buying one, you’ve come to the right place. We have all the information, news and cheapest deals on MacBook Air laptops. The MacBook Air was officially launched at MacWorld 2008 after months of speculation, and for good reason. The laptop is a sleek, ultra-slim model, loaded with all the latest technology. Unsurprisingly then, many fanatics have been waiting for months to buy a MacBook Air. The MacBook Air comes with a stunning 13.3 inch LED backlit widescreen display with 1280 x 800 resolution. It’s also a tiny machine and weighs only 3 pounds, with a thickness of 0.16-0.76 inches. It’s 12.8 inches wide and 8.95 inches deep. There’s all the usual MacBooks luxuries, like the built in iSight camera, but there’s also bonus features like the backlit keyboard, previously reserved exclusively for the MacBook Pro. It also has a nifty built in sensor that adjusts the darker it gets. If there’s one thing that’s going to get people to buy the MacBook Air, it’s got to be the trackpad that uses the same technology as the iPhone and iPod touch. This allows you to use various gestures to manipulate the way you see things on screen. You can get 1.6GHz and 1.8GHz versions of the MacBook Air with 80GB storage capacities as standard. What’s really exciting about the notebook is that the chip used has been developed specifically for this machine, meaning it should run incredibly smoothly. Even though the MacBook Air is remarkably thin and refined, it doesn’t compromise on functionality. The battery life is still a brilliant 5 hours while connected wirelessly and there’s a slimmed down MegSafe connector for plugging in.
