Jessica Simpson worked out hard for three months before filming. She worker out six days a week for an hour and a half each day varying her workouts week to week. Majority of her weight training consisted of higher reps (20-24) per set.The best part of the workout is you don’t have to lift a whole lot of weight. Jessica Simpson used no more than 71/2 pound dumbbells. Here is a look at one of Jessica Simpson’s workouts: * Start with a light warm up on the treadmill, a walk increased to a slight jog for 5-10 minutes. * Do 3 sets of dumbbell rows while in a squat position for 20-24 reps per set. * Do 3 sets of body weight squats * Lying Dumbbell Triceps Extension: 2-3 sets of 20-24 reps * Reverse Lunges: 2-3 sets for leg, 12 reps per set (per leg) * Treadmill: 8 minutes at 6.5 mph * Do a super-set of Bicep Curls from a Lunge Position( do right leg lunge position during the set): 1 set of 18 reps and Lateral Raise from a Lunge Position (do left leg lunge position during the set): 1 set of 18 reps. This super-set is done for 3 sets * Treadmill: 8 minutes at 6.5 mph * Incline Crunches: 15-20 reps * Prone Kneeling Leg Extensions: 2-3 sets per leg x18 reps per set * Treadmill: 5-8 minutes of cool down * Forward Lunges: 2-3 sets x 10-20 reps * Traveling Lunges: these are just lunges, but instead of staying in place you walk across the room. If this is too easy, try holding a pair of dumbbells at your side. After the filming was over for the Dukes of Hazard movie, Jessica Simpson maintained her looks by working out for 5 days a week, 2 hours a day. The routine comprises of 45 minutes of strength training, and 30-45 minutes of cardio.
