Folks,When I purchased the projector, ($50 at Amazon Marketplace), I had the luxury of reading the various reviews. Most reviewers complained about the dark picture. So, I can understand the other folks' comments. The stock picture is a bit dark. I believe that the darkness is the reason the picture is considered of low quality. The projector's stock bulb is a 12v/50w MR16 halogen bulb. A wee bit low wattage!There are multitudes of MR16s available on eBay. I am about to purchase 75 and 100 watt bulbs.Just throw wattage at the problem!Thanks and regards,shamun@betterloansNOW.com

I tried a 75watt not much of a difference .If you want to see a better ,brighter picture adjust the brightness and contrast on your dvd player ,the setup button on the dvd remote.You will be amazed with the picture and how bright it is.

I need one of these but still haven't gotten around to getting one yet. I found some pretty good deals here so I'd say now is a good time.

Got for $50 as bosco.com, worth the $50 as the kids enjoy playing Gamecube on it. The picture is very dark and the projector must be used in the dark. Workable screen size is only 6' diagonal. image is fuzzy due to resolution not the optics. no method to adjust for keystone. Will use to set up my home theater and give the kids this projector for gameplay. ordered a 75 watt bulb to increase light power
