Rudolf Nureyev called it, the "ballet of ballets." His version of The Sleeping Beauty, which he created for the Paris Opera Ballet, was recorded at the Opéra Bastille in Paris in 1999. The production features sets and costumes by Nureyev's faithful collaborators, Ezio Frigerio and Franca Squarciapino, and stars Manuel Legris and Aurelie Dupont.
