The Wonder Years aired on ABC from January 31, 1988 until May 12, 1993. The series was created by Neal Marlens and Carol Black. In the show, Kevin Arnold, the main character, deals with social issues and historical events by narrating what he has learned from his experience. Each episode features the experiences of Kevin during his adulthood. He encountered a full range of trials and traumas together with his best friend Paul and sometimes with his girlfriend Winnie. During its run, the Wonder years achieved top Nielsen ratings. It also won Emmy for Best Comedy Series. It was awarded a George Foster Peabody Award and at the same time it was a show that was loved deeply by its audience. The series starred Fred Savage, Danica Mc Kellar, Josh Saviano, Dan Lauria, Alley Mills Olivia d'Abo and Jason Hervey. Adult Kevin Arnold reminisces and narrates his past experiences, specifically his teenage years: how he deals with his problems and how he learns from his own experiences in life as he goes from adolescence to adulthood,together with his best friend Paul and girlfriend Winnie. The series depicts the trials and tribulations of real life. The main character Kevin also deals with middle and high school problems, encounters puberty, has ups and downs with childhood sweetheart Winnie, deals with older brother Wayne, and hangs out with his geeky but a cool friend Paul.
