Total Reviews: 105 Read all 105 Reviews - Write a Review Definately worth it! Reviewed By: Schizo on 1/4/2007 Tech Level: somewhat high - Ownership: 1 week to 1 month Pros: Wow, where do I start. This case is gargantuan, has plenty of room for everything. Case is very forgiving using screws for mounting drives and addon cards. Having fans for each hard drive bay is an outstanding idea and was one of the main reasons I ditched my old case. The cooling capabilities of this case are second to none. The entire front of the case (as one can see in the pictures) is an air intake, and having all fans exhaust air keeps the innards near room temp(see other thoughts for more). You can't see in the pictures, but the faceplates for the drive bays have a dust-catching mesh on the back side, which was a pleasant surprise as I thought I was going to have to design an air filter myself. Cons: All cons you're about to read are moot points, the case is great. Stock fans leave a bit to be desired and the led's are very annoying. Screwless install system is pointless and was removed immediately. Would suggest a small partsbin if using screws, however the case came with TONS of screws and other mounting equipment. Mainboard pegs took some work to secure, had to use a socketwrench with 5mm socket to secure them. As others have mentioned, larger-than-normal power supplies can be difficult to install, but with a little creativity they slip right in. The top fan grill is almost useless since the holes for airflow are so small, epically compared to the open exhaust vent on the top of the case. The cables for the top usb/firewire/audio ports got in the way and the end of the firewire cable (as others have mentioned) were individual pins and not a block like the usb cable end is. Other Thoughts: The bottom line is, get this case if you have ANY question about your current setup, you won't be disappointed. I opted to use all of my fans as exhaust fans with my setup. I removed the top fan and taped up the air vent at the top with clear packaging tape to make my case have straight-though airflow (front to back). You can't tell it's closed off unless you get a magnifying glass or touch it. I opted to replace I did this since I have the 120mm, 90mm HD fan, and my psu fans all acting as exhaust fans. I replaced the two 120mm fans with some white 120mm fans (be creative) after reading other reviews of lackluster performance of the stock ones. Those reports were accurate as the led's in the fans are annoying and the cfm from them are marginal for my setup. My system: Dfi Lanparty SLI-DR Expert, Opty 148 @ 2.53gHz, 2xCorsair XMS 1gb, 2xSata150 raid1(os), 2xSata2 raid0(games), 600w psu, 7800GT OC, SB Live 5.1 2 out of 3 people found this review helpful.
