DANCING THE MOOSE AWAY CLOCK At first peculiar and then utterly captivating, this serene forest scene of a dancing couple being observed by a moose seems taken directly from some strange and wonderful dream. Artist Pascale Judet's hand painted desk clock and tiny sculpture is a surreal look into love's unexpected turns and surprises and finding ourselves in unexpected places. Reminiscent of a diorama, Judet's work is inspired by her contact with nature, weather and light. She paints the background first, then searches through a collection of figures from model railroad sets to find the perfect match for the scene. Her neutral colors and keen attention to detail create a one-of-a-kind, artful approach to watching the clock. Signed by the artist.
