The UK Royal Navy ensigns were originally three different colors, red, white and blue, representing three naval squadrons. They took these colors from those of the Union Jack. In 1864 it was decided that the White Ensign was reserved to the Royal Navy. All H.M. ships in commission wear the White Ensign. UK Royal Navy flag 12" x 18" is suitable for indoor and outdoor use. Higher quality the you can find anywhere! Most flags this size are cheaply printed on coarse fabric and stapled to a wooden stick. Our flags are nicely printed onto quality poly-cotton fabric and sewn around the all edges. They have a sewn pole sleeve, which is use mounted them to a sturdy 24 inch stick with gold spear tip.
