Ian Elchitz has announced some significant updates to his excellent website www.simroutes.com These include route maps, import facilities for SquawkBox 3, LDS767 and 767PIC as well as AIRAC updates. SimRoutes went live on January 1, 2005. As of the summer of 2006 they have had half a MILLION visitors and half a MILLION searches performed. 30 Centers take part in the project including all 7 FIR's from Canada, and 22/23 facilities from the United States (only Anchorage is missing). SimRoutes has additionally been providing routes for the Curaçao (TNCF) FIR since April 2005. The system currently holds over 13,000 routes. These are VATSIM preferred routings as entered and maintained by the individual Center's staff. SimRoutes would be nothing without the people who maintain the routes, and would be useless without the thousands who visit it for a routing every single day. Visit them at www.simroutes.com
