* Start with a freshly painted wall. Tape off nine evenly divided spaces for 8-x-10-inch rectangles. Fill them in with two coats of latex paint in a hue that complements the overall wall color (light colors are best). Let the paint dry thoroughly between coats. * Center a 6-x-8-inch botanical stencil, available at crafts stores, on a painted rectangle and secure it to the wall with spray-on stencil adhesive. Fill in the design using a contrasting color of acrylic stencil paint and a stencil brush. (Stencil paint is thicker than regular acrylic paint, so it doesn't drip.) Remove the stencil while the paint is wet. Stencil a different design inside each rectangle, and let them dry thoroughly. * Remove the glass and backing from the picture frames, and center a frame around each painted rectangle. Attach the frames to the wall with finishing nails.
