This can be a bigger problem if you have no clue what the wrong thing is. When you have a good idea of what not to say then you can be more confident in the things that you do say. I don’t have space for every wrong thing you could possibly say in this blog but hopefully these guidelines will get you moving in the right direction. For starters, avoid the bigger and better game. When most guys are told about something the natural urge is to talk about how yours is bigger and better. Here’s an example: Her: “I have an apartment Downtown on the 10th floor of my building so I have a beautiful view.” You: “Yeah well I live on the 17th floor of my building and I have a view of everything plus an LCD High-Def TV.” Nothing says that you have an inferiority complex like the bigger and better game. A better response might be: You: “Wow, I’d love to see that view some time. I bet it’s beautiful.” Next, don’t dominate a conversation. If you start to feel like Jay Leno or Dave Chapelle performing a monologue you need to keep your mouth shut more. To get anywhere with a lady you need to establish dialogue (two people) instead of monologue (one person). In the exchange of ideas find out what some of hers are. Never ever ever never never never ever talk about your past relationships. I shouldn’t even have to explain why this is a bad idea. Imagine how you would feel being compared to the ex-boyfriend. Bad idea. Just don’t do it. Body parts to avoid talking about include: breasts, butt, feet, nose, stomach, ears, facial hair, etc. Even if she asks about them, find a way to change the subject. Fake a seizure or pull a fire alarm or something. Last but not least don’t drop anything that sounds like a line. Nothing says I’ve never had any success with women and I’m not trying to start now like a pick up line. Some comment about her daddy being a thief or asking if her legs are tired or holding her body against you are as good as my favorite line, “You don’t sweat much for a fat chick.” Trust me.
