Many of us rely on one or two good ways to lace up our sneakers. (I must admit, I rarely even re-lace my sneaks once I take them home and out of the box!) So when I came across this new book, Laces: 100s of Ways to Pimp Your Kicks by Ian Fieggen, I was baffled to learn that not only do creative alternatives to your average Criss Cross Lacing exist, but they've got cool names like Zipper Lacing and Checkerboard Lacing, which immediately brought me back to my lanyard days at summer camp (ah... the cobra). But Fieggen's also got an amazing website on which he shares how-tos and other great tips, like how to avoid the "Granny Knot" (a knot that always seems to come undone). So go on, grab a pair of your kid's kicks and get to work. Then take some pics and share them with us and Fieggen! PS - I dare you to try the Spider Web!!! Photos via.
