I just picked up one at a yard sale. I haven't used it yet but the other review doesn't sound promising. I'll let you know how it goes.

This is the worst coffee maker I have ever used. It is noisy, difficult to operate, and messy. When you open the lid, which doesn't prop open, it beeps loudly to tell you its open. If you take the grinder cup out, it also beeps. When you fill the water up, the level float is hard to see and sometimes sticks, but thats okay because if you fill a millimeter over max - water pours everywhere. My lawnmower is queiter than the grinder on this gem. The caraf is mis-shapen so badly that if you pour coffee at anything faster than a dribble - it will spill all over the place. Save yourself money and headache and run from this Fiat.
