If you're having a tough time meditating and have $12,000 to spend, check out the Transport, an egg-shaped fiberglass vessel outfitted with speakers and an array of light-emitting diodes. It's described as a "perceptual pod," which means it doesn't do anything you couldn't already do by lying down and closing your eyes. It looks pretty cool though. Like something you sit in while coming up with evil plans and stroking a cat. See less

Not sure if this idea's been posted before...? My boyfriend had a brilliant idea to make a picture frame out of an old Etch-A-Sketch, so of course we had to try. My dad eventually got obsessed with the idea of getting it pried apart, which is a lot harder than it sounds. Once we did that, we found a picture of Marilyn Monroe, cut it down to size, stuck it on with a glue stick, and put it back together. It was actually pretty easy once you get it apart. These were born to be picture frames. See less

My husband and I have a 2-bedroom condo. We use the 2nd bedroom as an office/guest bedroom/craft space. I read a lot, and when we went to IKEA this weekend we saw a reading nook that I fell in love with and decided to put in the corner of my office. From start to finish, the whole project took about 24 hours, about 2 of which were challenging (putting screws in the ceiling, etc) and the rest were spent at IKEA or Home Depot or sleeping. 1. Stack eight 20-by-30-inch sheets of tissue. Make 1 1/2-inchwide accordion folds, creasing with each fold. 2. Fold an 18-inch piece of floral wire in half, and slip over center of folded tissue; twist. With scissors, trim ends of tissue into rounded or pointy shapes. 3. Separate layers, pulling away from center one at a time. 4. Tie a length of monofilament to floral wire for hanging. See less
