Image size: 6" x 6" Medium:reproduction This image is from a mushroom series that I'm currently working on. Keep watching for the addition of more toadstools. The image is printed on archival Hahnemhule paper with high quality inks on a Canon Pro9000 printer. The colors are saturated and the detail is extemely fine. The original image is a one-of-a-kind hand pulled print on archival Rives BFK paper. This print is considered a reductuive monotype in that the whole plate is rolled with ink and then "drawn" into with rags and cards to achieve the greys and whites. Once the image is finished I lay a piece of dampened paper onto the plate and run in through my press at home. I can only achieve one print because all the ink is now on the paper and off the plate. Once dry, I then went back into the print and hand coloured it with chalk pastels. The print will be carefully shipped flat in a protective mailer with a sturdy backing board.
