I also found the stars very difficult to get out. The silicone ice trays with regular, rounded shapes work pretty well, though. I have some hearts and penguins that I have no difficulty getting out.

I saw this at Target for $10 recently and had it in my hand to buy as a gift (wink wink) when I decided to open the box. These things are made out of rubber! They look very cool in the pic, but the actual product was a huge disappointment, especially the goofy looking rubber doll heads. I think it makes sense that the bellies are rubber b/c you wouldn't be able to fit anything between them if they were solid, but they look and feel totally cheap. I'll try and find some stone ones. =]
