I was trying to figure what shoes to wear with the mini. But after thinking I think ankle boots would probably look best, and i so can't do them. :( I like the camel colored skirt idea. And I love suede camel colored boots. Yeah, I agree. A denim mini with nice leggings isn't bad...usually, or maybe a REALLY long tunic. And I've seen some really cute looks on some girls with skirts and dresses. But otherwise it's kind of like wearing tights as pants. Uh, I just don't think so.

The first year we were married I was so excited to have trick or treaters. We lived in an apartment complex with tons of kids, so I bought this giant bag of candy and sat there and waited and waited and waited...I had 4 kids come all night long. : ( Ever since then we go to his sist'ers house because they get oodles of kids and teens who come by. A couple years ago my niece was stood up by her friend and was devasted. I offered to walk around and go trick or treating with her. Luckily I look pretty young, so I could pass for a high schooler. At one point one of the neighbors exclaimed that she didn't know there were any teens who lived in the area and needed a babysitter every now and again. I had to explain that I wasn't a teen...I was 25!

Ugh! I understand the safe thing all too well, but that is lame! I go to a friends house now and watch. My downstairs neighbors give out candy for me to the few that come around. The real little kids get taken around while it's still light out (and they are jsut so gosh darn cuteee), then usually around 7 or so the older kids who can go out on their own (or with Mom watching from the street) start. Then of course you start to get the teens who don't even dress up. I say no costume, no candy. :) I'm mean. Lol.

Around here they have "Trunk or Treat" that they usually have that the LDS churches. Basically, everyone drives to the church and parks, opens their trunk and the kids walk from car to car gathering candy. It's really lame. I understand that people want to keep their kids safe, but it just seems like they're taking all the fun out of Halloween in doing things like this.

I think it's that way most places anymore. Some places even tell you when you're allowed to go out. :( When I was younger we started whenever and went to whenever, usually I think 9 was the "unofficial" cutoff. But I didn't care about it much and they would have to make me get dressed and drag me out.

Halloween in NH was so much better than in UT. I remember my parents driving us all around to the different neighborhoods (they were too far apart to walk from one to the next) and we'd trick or treat for hours (usually starting around 5 and ending around 9)! Here it seems like kids start at 7 and are done by 8. It sucks. We usually go to Greg's sister's house and dress up there to scare their trick or treaters.
