I have this, it's awesome though not for those that wake easily! It's loud enough that me being hearing impaired can wake just from the sound alone, yet the optional vibrating accessory tucked inside my pillow absolutely ENSURES that my butt is out of bed on those days I can't get enough sleep.

I've had Clocky since it first became available for ordering last December. It is by far the best alarm clock I have ever had, and I am incredibly hard to wake! Plus, if you have cats, it drives them bonkers when it runs away :D

I actually own the progression clock. Unfortunately, it has let me down a few times by not going off, so I have had to set a backup clock. The sonic bookm would certainly work, though I think It would be a rude way to wake up. Clocky is the cutest, but I worry that he would break things.
