This beautiful sterling silver jewelry is designed and created by Vicki Ridgway, an artisan from Raccoon, Kentucky. Vicki has a unique career story and is one of the few artisans we know who has chosen to give up a professional law practice to devote her life to metalsmithing! This love of what she does shines through her work as you can see. Her career as an artisan began at The Kentucky School of Craft in Hindman, Kentucky. She was in the very first metalsmithing class taught at the school and learned her art under the tutelage of the renowned and talented goldsmith, Douglas Harling. Vicki creates her jewelry primarily out of sterling silver but also enjoys using brass, copper and found objects. She is a purist and refuses to simply solder together pre-made components, insisting instead on creating every bit of her jewelry herself.
