Hace justo un año, aconsejaba una página Web desde donde podíamos descargar un Mapa del Mundo en Relieve gratuito y con la posibilidad de utilizarlo para proyectos comerciales, junto con otros muchos recursos y técnicas para la elaboración cartografía en relieve (en inglés). Vuelvo a la carga un año después para comentar que en esta página ha habido actualizaciones muy, pero que muy jugosas, entre las que destaco: Mapa Físico del Mundo: Puedes descargarte el mapa en dos tamaños (160 x 91 cm ó 101,6 x 57,9 cm a una resolución de 270 ppp el grande y 288 ppp el pequeño), en formato raster completamente, o bien, puedes descargártelo por partes (algunas incluso en formato Illustrator). Completamente Gratuito. Natural Earth II: Es un mapa del mundo que muestra de forma idealizada el entorno de la tierra en caso de que no hubiera habido intervención humana. Butterflies Trying to Escape Their Shadow, 2005 Acid-free A4 80 gsm paper and glue About my paper works My paper works has lately been based around an exploration of the relationship between two and three dimensionality. I find this materialization of a flat piece of paper into a 3D form almost as a magic process - or maybe one could call it obvious magic, because the process is obvious and the figures still stick to their origin, without the possibility of escaping. In that sense there is as well an aspect of something tragic in most of the cuts. Some of the small paper cuts relates to a universe of fairy tales and romanticism, as for instance "Impenetrable Castle" inspired by Hans Christian Andersen's fairy tale "The Steadfast Tin Soldier", in which a tin soldier falls in love with a paper ballerina, living in a paper castle. Other paper cuts are small dramas in which small figures are lost within and threatened by the huge powerful nature. Others again are turning the inside out, or... See less

Open your picture in photoshop that is going to become pop art and duplicate the layer called "Background". (Just click the layer called "Background" and drag it to this icon at the bottom of the layer window to duplicate the layer.) Rename this new layer "dots". (To rename a layer right-click on the name in the Layer Palette and select Layer Properties). Create another new layer and fill it bright blue using the Paint Bucket tool . this layer between the two existing layers and rename it something meaningful i.e "blue". The image below shows what your Layer Palette should look like. This is the basic set up to begin. working on the "dots" layer we need to clear out all the unwanted parts of the photograph. In this case I want to isolate Scarlett and delete the rest i.e lilac background and bit of text. cut out Scarlett I use the Pen Tool. Now to sum up how to use Photoshop's pen tool in a few sentences isn't easy...if you have never used the pen tool before, do the PEN TOOL TUTORIAL... See less
