You'll need a good kettle as soon as you hit the ground in the US. Dont skimp! We bought a Hamilton Beach kettle for about $35 at Target and it lasted for about a year with regular (but non-daily) use before it started to leak around the bottom. Go for a good kettle and you'll be glad you did.
