This conversion doesn't earn any points with the diehards, but raises the question: Why shouldn't metal bands create radio-friendly, textured melodies? Sentenced mixes heavy-metal strychnine with the saccharine sweetness of pop and comes up with a fetching formula that's still 10 times dirtier than Creed. After all, Sentenced is merely saucing up ballads like Black Sabbath's "Changes," Judas Priest's "Last Rose of Summer," and Iron Maiden's "Strange World." As usual, I have completely dissasembled it, cleaned and lubed all mechanicals, replaced all rubber parts, (they dry out or rot after about 20years). I always replace the cartridge and needle with modern stereo equipment so the old player can play stereo LP's without ruining the grooves. Warning!!! If you value your records, do not play them on old players without new modern cartridges. The old cartridge/stylus which once had new rubber, now has old dried up hard rubber which will "eat" your records. Comes with 45rpm adaptor. Tubes have been checked and replaced as necessary along with a new rubber drive wheel. Unit is 9.5" x 12" x 5" and weighs 7 lbs. See less
