My most recent acquisition (no more), a mighty Gibson Super 400 in glorious brown sunburst, made in Kalamazoo 1980. This guitar is truly an heartbreaker! She is named "Rocket" in honour to Quentin Tarantino's Kill Bill Saga. Do you remember the lovely dancer gal that appears on the screen for a brief moment in the second episode... she is Rocket. A lovely gal with BIG GUNS. One that can take you on the moon!! That's the reason behind the name of this particular guitar. This one has BIG GUNS too! Gibson Super 400, just the simple name sends shivers down the spines of the most discriminating collectors and Jazz players. It is the biggest jazz archtop made by Gibson and among the overall best, completly hand made by the world famous best luthiers in Gibson, the MOTHER brand. I can't explain the joy and the satisfaction this guitar is able to give me. Once I played a couple of Jazz lines and chords on this one and I have been hooked forever. Try a Charlie Parker theme. A big smile will appear on your face. I wanted this guitar since I was 16 (now I'm 37). She waited for me in the shop for twenty years (she was very expensive). Now she is in her last place. Mine. Impossible to sell.
