The straps are braided, and the jacket has puffy shoulders & flares out in the back. The only issue with this is it's small and has no zipper or button opening. It needs a zipper or buttons put in , in order to get it on comfortably. We did not want to do it as not to ruin the historical integrity of the dress. The new owner can take it in to have it altered to her liking. Very dramatic! See less
