Little bits and pieces, one by one, are coming together. Not just in my life, but in the world in general. The signs are becoming more apparent every day that TEOTWAWKI is looming larger on the horizon. First off, I find it very interesting how the gub'mint is "reacting" to the gas and oil prices. It weren't too damn long ago that the Good 'Ol Boys released some token oil from the strategic reserve to give a little relief from the prices. That ain't happenin' now. Why, might you ask? I think it's pretty simple. They're stocking up and keeping the reserve full for when TSHTF, that's why. You see, the gub'mint will need plenty of fuel to quell the masses and round 'em up to the FEMA camps. They'll surely need it to comb the countryside and try to flush out us "troublemakers". They know what's coming. Peal Oil has passed, and production is on the decline. OPEC knows it, that's why they're controlling the tap so tightly and pushing up prices. Two more weeks until the wedding. It should prove to be an interesting experience. First off, we’re encouraging our guests to be armed. Because of this we’re also keeping it a booze-free wedding. A friend of mine with a nice 1/3 scale Revolutionary War cannon will be bringing it along for a salute. Theres a scheduled ‘range day’ the day after the wedding and that should be quite interesting as well. Finally, there’ll be the final round of gift-giving and the determination of whether the gifting was enough to cover the cost of the .50 BMG rifle we’ve got listed on our registry. I do believe this will be an event that will be unmatched in the gun community for a while and may very well become the stuff of legends on the various gun boards. Obviously, much photography will be taking place. There’ll be at least one well known photographing gunny in attendance – Oleg Volk. It's jumped 35 cents in the past month and is 76-cents-a-gallon higher than a year ago. If you need premium, it's also never been more expensive. The auto club says the national average for premium is $4.35. That's an 84-cent-a-gallon jump over last year. After getting hold of a copy of Storey's Basic Country Skills, I was amazed at the useful and plain old common sense approach to basic skills that I will make sure this becomes part of my "survival library". They've got a lot of other books on their website for the self-reliant individual but this one is a must have for anybody that wants to become truly self-reliant. Everything from making soap or cheese, gardening tips and how-to's, butchering a rabbit or a hog,or even how to build sheds and chicken coops, it's all in there. There are also a lot of common sense tips throughout the book. As I work getting the farm ready for the move, I start with a rough inventory. And not just material good such as food, water, firearms, ammunition, down to the smallest items. But not only the material items, we need to inventory the skills we all posses to survive the coming hard times. In one day I seen I can do electrical, plumbing, painting etc. One cyclone wiped out many in Burma, what is stopping that from happening elsewhere. Short post tonight, I am whipped.
