SWINGING SURREAL CLOCK SCULPTURE A tribute to youth, freedom and unexplored possibilities, artist Pascale Judet's dreamy desk clock was inspired by her own childhood love of swings and the feelings of power and liberation they create. Full of personal significance and ambiguous meaning, Judet included the tree as a sign of strength and trust, while the moon and night sky create a thoughtful, quiet atmosphere. "I like the tension between the moving swing and the pensive attitude of the young woman," Judet says. "Somehow it creates, for me, a sense of unexplored possibilities." Adding further to its mystery, Judet says, "I always assume that she was on the swing, but could it have been someone else?" And with that twist, the viewer is left to contemplate their own life: where they come from, where they are going, and the importance of jumping off the swing when the time is just right.
