WHEREAS, John began his life with the County as a Junior Engineer in Land Development and through dedication, diligence and determination rose into those finer and honored ethers as Senior Engineer over Flood Control, providing able and adroit leadership while prominently exhibiting his unbridled good sense, unique arrangement of facial hair, and dexterous and exceptional ability to summon and apply common sense to all that came his way; and WHEREAS, in the war of wits, John is extremely well-armed, having scuffled and skirmished, tussled and toiled, and striven and slogged in engagements without enumeration, meeting all challenges straight on, delving deep and giving all to ensure that the people’s work was done to meet even the most formidable challenges that both nature and society could devise so that for generations to come, songs will be sung and tales will be told of his legendary exploits. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Supervisors of the County of Marin hereby commends, applauds, acclaims, hails, and congratulates John Wooley for his innumerable, remarkable, and exceptional contributions and service to the people of the County of Marin. PASSED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Board of Supervisors of the County of Marin held this 7th day of June 2005,
