I bought this for my 1 year old daughter who LOVES it. The first day we read it over and over again for half an hour. Fortunately, there are also lots of other interesting animals/things in the background to point to and name. So, not only does it alleviate adult monotony, it expands your child's vocabulary. All of the characters in the book are drawn to look exactly like the other Fisher Price Little People toys, so if you have the barnyard playset they are easier to identify and link. This was a great gift for my son's 1st birthday. It has been a fine toy, but not a *WOW* toy. It's educational, he LOVES the musical aspect, and it has a fair enough variety. He plays the songs repetatively without getting too bored or annoying us too much!:) The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is that the little frog pieces get lost because they aren't able to lock on to the bus. I think if that were the case, they'd at least have a *fighting chance*:). It was also quite a bit smaller than we expected, but in the end that's been a good thing.
