The soft denim that someone suggested would be ideal. A honey brown color would also be great. Btw - I have the medium skirt and it sits rather low on my waist (which makes it come down to me knees) since the waist is bigger than I need. I'm going to order the small and see how that fits. But something about these made it impossible for me to get the right length/width. My foot slid forward making the 8.5 seem too short, though there was space at the heel; the 9 did the same thing. This is strange, because the shape of the boot is exactly the same as an ankle-high boot I have from la Canadienne and those are perfect. Maybe it's the softness of the suede? Too much "give" around the ankle to hold the foot in place? See less
